Ha! They've finally made the original BBC series available in Region 1, albeit disc by disc (full series available in Sept). But it's here! I've waited so long for the real one. Damn the US adaptation to the heck it deserves.

In other news, I need to catch up on Spooks eps from the first seasons on instant view. And then get the new ones from Netflix.

BBC, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

Although I've been avoiding Doctor Who like the plague, which is sad. I have the Christmas and bank hols specials and just can't go there right now. And judging from third-hand response, I'm glad I gave Torchwood a miss this season as well. What I might do instead is watch Casanova, QaF (yes, I've never seen a single ep of either version), and Ruby in the Smoke. But even I can't bring myself to the new GI Joe movie, not even for Chris Eccleston and bad cgi Schadenfreude.

Eventually it will be better, but for right now, I think I can live with 'Complete Style' in 'Basic Orange.' Not bad, really. There are some funky interactions between NoScript and even the basic journal customisation console activity. I keep getting the message that my layer belongs to another user. Eep? I did try to install a custom off of Bloggish, but, well, it was a disaster. And I still haven't figured out the NavStrip and how to make it show. Ah well. As with all things, this should be clear in a bit.

PS If this is what style customization looks like this long after release, I can't IMAGINE how much fun it was back in the day. I have found an old CSS customisation guide to give me a dim sense.

I will figure this interface out. I will. For right now, it feels like speaking Dutch instead of German. I'm misplacing all the vowels and I can't make the right guttural sounds. *sighs*
